A Designer With Deep Experience in Building Custom Homes
“When the designer also has deep experience in building custom homes, it’s a much tighter and more efficient way to work,” Sirianni says. He always starts by analyzing the site for the best solar gain and researching pertinent city and county zoning regulations. “This makes sure there are no surprises later in the construction process, and that permitting approvals can be done in a timely manner, meeting every applicable code.
“I also include soil testing and hydrology analysis, and then move on to a complete design in collaboration with the homeowner, drawing on a wide background in different architectural styles and traditions.”
A Builder Who Provides Hands-On Supervision
When Sirianni also works as the builder on his custom home designs, he is on site every day throughout the construction process, delivering hands-on supervision of the entire project and associated details, working with a team of highly qualified carpenters, electricians, roofers, heating and plumbing experts, stucco and plaster experts.
As an integral part of the design, Sirianni says, “I prepare and coordinate a schedule that specifies or leaves allowance for products, equipment, materials, systems, standards and workmanship for the project as well as performance of related services. When all of these elements are centralized, the design is much more thought out and the construction process can go more smoothly.”

As an experienced custom home designer, Sirianni also works with homeowners to create full plans and designs for their dream home. “Sometimes a homeowner wants to use a specific contractor in building their custom home,” he says. “If so, they can choose to use my services as a custom home designer, and I will provide all of my services except for construction supervision.”
